The White Rann — a vast expanse of seasonally flooded salt marshland — stretches across 7,505 square kilometres and forms one of the world's largest salt deserts. During winter, when the floodwaters recede, the desert transforms into a pristine white canvas that shimmers under the moonlight. On full moon nights, the Rann glows silver under the open sky, creating a surreal, almost otherworldly experience that visitors describe as truly life-changing.

Our Rann Utsav booking packages are designed to suit different travel plans. Starting rates exclude applicable GST; the final provider, accommodation, occupancy, inclusions and total are confirmed in writing before payment.

1 Night / 2 Days Package from ₹6,300 per person: The published base category is a Non-AC Swiss Cottage. The selected provider, occupancy, taxes and inclusions are confirmed in your written quote.

2 Nights / 3 Days Package from ₹12,600 per person: This published base rate is for a Non-AC Swiss Cottage, not a Deluxe AC category. Upgrade categories and their available services are specified in your quote.

3 Nights / 4 Days Package from ₹18,900 per person: This published base rate is for a Non-AC Swiss Cottage. Any selected accommodation upgrade, itinerary and included service is confirmed in writing for your dates.

Why Visit Rann Utsav 2026-27?

Rann Utsav offers a rare combination of natural wonder and cultural richness that is hard to find anywhere else in the world. The festival showcases the rich heritage of the Kutchi people — from intricate Ajrakh and Bandhani textiles to elaborate Kutchi embroidery. Every evening, the festival grounds come alive with performances of traditional Gujarati and Rajasthani folk music and dance, with Garba, Dandiya, and other regional forms performed under open skies against the backdrop of the white desert.

Special dates during the season attract high demand. Full Moon Nights — when the salt desert glows silver under the moonlit sky — are especially popular. Diwali at Rann Utsav, Christmas and New Year Week, and Republic Day Weekend are other peak periods for which availability should be checked early.

How to Reach Rann Utsav — Dhordo, Kutch

The Rann Utsav venue at Dhordo is located approximately 80 kilometres from Bhuj — the nearest major city in Kutch, Gujarat. Our packages include optional pickup and drop service from Bhuj city.

By Air: The nearest airport is Bhuj Airport (IATA: BHJ), with direct flights from Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and other major Indian cities. From Bhuj airport, Dhordo Tent City is approximately a 1.5 to 2-hour drive.

By Train: Bhuj railway station is well connected to Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and other cities. The Kutch Express and several other trains operate regular services to Bhuj. From Bhuj station, taxis can be hired to reach the festival venue.

Dhordo Tent City vs Dholavira Tent City

Rann Utsav's main venue is the Dhordo Tent City, located in Dhordo village on the edge of the White Rann. The seasonal festival camp includes Swiss tents, upgraded suites, dining areas, and entertainment venues. The package options shown on this website focus on stays in and around Dhordo.

The Dholavira Tent Cityis a separate experience — smaller, quieter, and set alongside the UNESCO-listed Harappan archaeological site of Dholavira on Khadir Island. This is ideal for heritage travellers who want both the desert experience and deep immersion in one of the world's oldest urban civilisations.

Both locations offer comparable tent comfort and dining experiences. The choice depends on your priorities: Dhordo for the full festival atmosphere and largest variety of activities; Dholavira for a quieter, more intimate experience combined with cultural tourism.
